Elevate was Louis De Guzman's first collectible figure, a three-dimensional turn on his Bart Simpson motif that Curative developed and showed across three ComplexCon editions.
Elevate began at ComplexCon Long Beach in 2018 as Louis De Guzman's first limited-edition figure, translating his flat, geometric reading of Bart Simpson into three dimensions. A 1.2-meter version of the figure anchored the booth, and the piece drew crowds and press across the weekend.
The series continued at ComplexCon Chicago in 2019, the artist's home city, where a blue edition followed the earlier pink release. It closed later that year back at Long Beach, the venue where it had debuted, marking the run's final installment.
Curative developed and launched the first Elevate figure with the artist, from the sculpture itself to its packaging. For each ComplexCon, Curative secured the show-floor placement and designed the booth and trade-show presentation.
