The recurring live painting event Curative produced for FEWOCiOUS, staged across three editions where invited guests painted alongside the artist.
FEWOCiOUS' Paint Party turns a room full of blank canvases into a collaborative work. Guests paint on stretched canvases, framed prints, mirrors and hanging surfaces, working next to FEWOCiOUS himself. Most editions were kept small and private, open to the artist's collectors and friends.
After an early edition at ComplexCon, FEWOCiOUS and his team returned to Curative to produce the next rounds. Each one built on the last, growing from a warehouse takeover into a larger, more designed environment.
For Art Basel in Miami, Curative secured a warehouse in Wynwood despite limited venue options and transformed it into a single blank canvas, with canvases suspended from the ceiling and hung across the walls inside and out. For NFT LA Week, FEWOCiOUS wanted a larger production, so Curative developed an 'Underground Art Rave': guests entered through fog and laser tunnels into a space where they painted on canvases strung from concert trussing, on framed prints and on mirrors, among custom sculpture, illuminated furniture and a 20-foot LED wall.
The VeeCon edition, staged on the convention's Opening Night for the VeeFriends community, moved the party outdoors. Attendees lined up for hours to get in, and the event ran through rain and hail that continued right up to the start.
Curative handled event production and logistics across all three editions: sourcing and securing venues, developing the concepts, fabricating and installing the environments, and running each event on site. At NFT LA the scope extended to the full 'Underground Art Rave' build, from the entry tunnels to the sculpture, furniture and LED wall. At VeeCon it meant holding an outdoor production together through adverse weather.
