OG Slick painted a wall-scale ‘VOTE’ mural at the 100 Thieves compound in Los Angeles, a get-out-the-vote piece timed to the 2020 election.
In 2020, OG Slick painted a large ‘VOTE’ mural across the black exterior of the 100 Thieves compound in Los Angeles. The letters are built from his cartoon glove-hand motif and set below the 100 Thieves wordmark, a get-out-the-vote message put up ahead of the election.
Slick hand-painted the wall with a small crew over the course of the install, working from ladders on the street-facing facade.
Curative secured the project and led the business development, then project-managed the mural. OG Slick painted the VOTE piece across the black exterior of the 100 Thieves compound, a get-out-the-vote message put up ahead of the 2020 election.
As with the New Balance collaboration, the work here is the brand-side one: Curative opened the opportunity and ran it, while the artwork stayed the artist’s.
